About me
Hi, My name is Leigh Blaney,
I am a freelance Make-up Artist based in Glasgow specialising in bridal and special occasion make-up.
I studied at Clydebank College and graduated with a Grade A, HND in Make-up Artistry.
I completed a wig fitting and 18th century make-up workshop in The Scottish Opera.
I am a M.A.C. pro member and continue to learn my trade by doing specialised workshops and courses at M.A.C and Illamasqua.
First and foremost, I love my job and everything about it. I love making people feel great about themselves and seeing the transformations in their look and mood. I have a lot of fun, I meet new people from every walk of life and no two days are ever the same.
I am a freelance make-up artist based in Glasgow so I travel throughout Scotland to weddings, fashion shows/shoots, theatre productions and on location for films, but being part of someone`s wedding day is definitely special.
I am friendly, dedicated, open-minded and professional. I like to think I have first class customer service and a good rapore with everyone I work with. I believe my client`s requirements are of the utmost importance and I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.
I am currently Account Manager for Max Factor @ Boots and have been with the company for nearly four years now, so feel I have expert knowledge of skin types and tones and many different products. This also helps with staying on trend and I am always aware of the new and innovative cosmetics that are available within the beauty industry.

Looking forward to PMOS`s "Thoroughly Modern Millie" in February. Theatre work is so exciting especially when I`m designing the make-up looks. I meet with the Director and we discuss what he visualises the character to look like. I then bring it to life :)

I also volunteer with "Look Good, Feel Better", the breast cancer charity. I help woman who are going through chemotherapy. I advise them on how to use make-up to help with the changes in their appearance, like eyebrows, eyelashes, skin tone etc. Check out the website for details on how you can help or receive help from this amazing charity.
